Anger into action.

By now, a zillion words have been spoken and written by everyone, be it actors, models, cricketers, singers, etc etc, who is 'someone'....They've been condemning, cheering, abusing, weeping, accusing, braving......Words words and more words......Because that's what we have....the most. Now, lemme add my bit.... First of all, lemme forewarn, that I will not play the blame game with any individual in the world, but me, for the times we live in......Because, its no-one's fault but MINE. I am the major loop hole and lemme accept my blunder.
I allowed my "Sone ki chidiya" to be partitioned. I allowed divide and rule policy to be a success in the country. I killed my brothers and sisters and am still killing them, but with a different reason now. I keep fighting for petty things all the time. I keep on demanding all the time, that too in another language which is not my mother tongue......Because I am ashamed of it as it isn't cool enough.
I am the one who creates loop hole and exploit it thoroughly. Even after 61years of independence, I fight over religion. In a country with majority of Hindus, a PM who is a Surd and a President who's Muslim, this is simply shameful. I bribe, I split, I drive rashly on road taking all my anger on the other road-mates and rarely obey traffic laws, I do not use dustbins, I abuse the poor, I steal, I cheat, I duplicate and what not. This is a never ending LIST.
I am the system that I create and now I cannot denounce that it is because of some another reason. I have always cheated my way through. Just spoken WORDS sitting on my couch.
But remember folks, it is not terrorism that is killing us nor is cynic politics the evil. It is the reason that created terrorists, such politics, corrupt cops, failed intelligence.......I am the reason.....And only I am the solution to it.....
Just by lighting candles and watching TV will not do any good to us. We have to wake up now. We definitely cannot pick up guns and kill each and every killer, but we can atleast shorten the list (mentioned above). Change our thinking towards other religions. We should know our rights and stand by them. (Most importantly, vote for the right person).Stand up to what all wrong is happening around you and help make others aware. Let us do our jobs/work with utmost sincerity and let the soldiers of the country do theirs.
Remember, coherence of incoherent ideas leads to fission and not fusion. We've got to be one. Let a massive fission take place amongst us. Hence let us have coherent ideology and make our country stronger than terrorism.

Ford Mustang 2010 edition

Legends never die!!!!
They just fade away, only to resurrect. So is the case with the 2010 edition of Ford Mustang. It has a very modest technical updates but a complete restyling has taken place both on its interior and exterior. The vibrant orange concept is wider than the production version. The Giugiaros added 30 millimeters to the front, gradually expanding the width by a full 80 millimeters toward the rear, which is typical in Italian design adding further class to the car.

The interior is sleek. The crome work done near the speedo and the silver-black dashboard gives it a perfect sports car look while the leather seats add elegance to the car.

With its longer hood and the trunk barely visible, the car looks more of a fastback in side view. But details throughout reinforce the freedom and rebellion synonymous with Mustang. And its 4.6 litre engine provides enough revs to make its presence felt and turn everyone's heads.

The Italian version of America's most popular muscle car has definitely not lost any of its swaggers.
This beautiful beast will be available by mid-2009.........This is when 'The Legend' makes a come-back........

War of PJs

At IIT Roorkee, there was a competition called 'War of PJs'. In this competition, many students from various colleges had taken part. Already 2 days of prelims had taken place, first day being a written competition and the second one in front of the audience. In the 2 days, about 20 students had been selected. On the last day of the competition, I was just roaming around with my friends in a park, adjacent to which this competition was being held. The anchor just announced that there is a break in the competition and he wanted some PJs from the audience. My friends then advised me to speak out some of my various PJs I crack the whole day (people who closely know me would agree to that). I was hesitant initially, but got into the groove with time. I cracked about 10-12 of my funniest PJs and my excitement level started increasing exponentially. After some time, when the original contestants were ready, the break ended and the competition resumed. This for my friends and me meant that its time to go to the other events. But suddenly, the anchor called out my name and we all were stunned. It was a sort of wild card entry (As we see in reality shows on TV). Then they asked me to give my best shot, as I had to compete with the contestants now. I again lost hope to the competition and thought wouldn't be selected for the next level. But again, I was wrong......I again got selected. Two rounds after that, I was amongst the three top contestants. By this time, my PJs were finished and I got the 3rd position. I am not at all disappointed to have got the 3rd position, it’s the appreciation to my PJs is something I really liked. And above everything, I enjoyed to the fullest during the event with full help of my friends!!!!

My recent visit to IIT Roorkee fest

Amazing, awesome, full of fun and excitement, jubilant, rocking, exultant..........This was what my 4day trip to IIT Roorkee was. Had read a lot about the fun and freedom at IIT in Chetan Bhagat's novels, heard a lot from friends, but first time got a chance to actually witness it. First of all, my dream of living in a hostel came true.....Can't express how I felt when I came to know that we'll be staying in the hostel for 4 nights.......We had total freedom. We did whatever we wanted to. (like having dinner at 2AM and sleeping at 6:30 AM).
I had basically gone as a part of my dramatics team to perform 'Nukkad Natak'. We had practiced a lot for it and the first day at Roorkee went in practice only. We dint get much of a free time. Nonetheless, we had a super time at night. We were really good during the practice but dint perform to our capabilities though when it was most required. We then witnessed a lot of talent there, dance, music, fashion, etc. I had also joined dance classes there (2hrs each day) which was another thing I really wanted to do. Then there was this DJ night everyday where we twisted our ankles to the fullest and danced as if drunk.
In the whole trip, I found really great friends and amazingly talented students. Interacting with seniors has done wonders to me and am taking along a bag full of confidence with me. Someone asked me recently, how much I enjoyed. I replied it was zillion raised to the power zillion......And believe me, it was more than that!!!!!

This is our Delhi police!!!

One fine day, it was a holiday, I was riding my bike, totally enjoying myself (obviously without a helmet). The wind was blowing through my hair and I was having a great time. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a policeman came right in front of me, slammed his stick hard at the road and asked me to stop. All my excitement vanished in a flash. I didn't know what to do. The policeman asked me in a very arrogant manner if I had the license or not. I produced all the documents he demanded. After having a look at them, he openly asked me for a 100-rupee note, just because I wasn't wearing a HELMET. I was a student then and Rs 100 was a very big thing for me. I pleaded him so that he would let me go without being charged. Finally, after the bargain (like that of friday market) we settled for Rs 20.

And now, very resently, I saw this................

And this......

Watch carefully the way the helmet has been worn.

And the pillion rider is not even wearing one!!!

I realised that these policemen themselves don't know how to even wear a helmet and they charge innocent people (like me) for not wearing one!!!! What example are they setting up here!!!!

This is our 'Delhi police'....!!

Peace on wheels

Few mainstream automobiles in the past 20 years have captured the world's attention or stirred controversy to the extent that BMW's ambitious 7 Series has. Yes, the 7 Series still sparks debate two years after it was introduced, but we can assure you this: BMW's largest car is a luxury sedan in the truest sense, and it's impressive to drive. Its responsive engine and six-speed automatic transmission, its magic-carpet ride quality, excellent handling and awesomely powerful brakes deliver the ultimate in big-sedan driver control. Whichever 7 Series you choose, starting with the standard 745i, you'll get a sedan that's big, smooth, fast and inspiring. It's also equipped with the latest safety technology. No matter where you sit, you'll experience a cabin that's beautiful and wonderfully comfortable. The 745Li, for Long, offers even greater legroom in the back seats. If the recently launched, V12-powered 760Li doesn't stir something inside you, you may as well call a cab.All the 7 Series models are exceptionally powerful and responsive. The level of technology borders on overkill. There are silent, hidden fans and heating elements to cool or warm your rear end, or your soft drink; microchips to instantaneously account for a skidding tire or apply the brakes full force just in case you don't; power-deployed shades to keep the sun off your rear passengers' brows. A single, mouse-like interface, BMW's controversial iDrive, controls virtually everything in the cabin, from the heater to the radio to the navigation system. To be sure, these systems can require serious commitment to master, but most are genuinely useful. The 7 Series has the best-sounding stereo we've experienced in a car. The whisper-quiet cabin is a great place for quiet conversation, ripping electric guitar solos, Mozart concertos, or magnificent solitude.Known for brilliant high-performance sedans with conservative styling and straightforward interiors, BMW stepped out of the box with this design. The two years since the 7 Series launch have tempered controversy over its stunning styling only a little. Like it or not, the design is based on rational objectives, and we are growing to appreciate it.BMW filled out the 7 Series line in 2003 with launch of the 438-hp 760Li, but it didn't sit still for 2004. This year, the iDrive has been simplified, er, improved, er, ummm, changed. The already sophisticated climate control has been improved with precise humidity management, and the side mirrors fold in at the touch of a button to squeeze this big sedan into tight parking spots. Adaptive headlights that turn with the car and a Sirius satellite radio receiver are now optional. This car pushes the limits of driving technology over the horizon. Never mind the density of the owner's manuals (that's plural); owners may get tired of teaching valets how to start the car and put it in gear, to say nothing of the electronic parking brake. Once that's accomplished, however, driving the 7 Series cars is easy and quite satisfying. It will achieve your wishes quickly and efficiently, occasionally bending the laws of physics in the process. BMW says its goal with the 7 Series was building "the safest car in the world,: and we don't find much to quibble with there. Comparably equipped, the 7 Series even costs less than its primary competitor, the Mercedes S-Class.As big luxury sedans go, the BMW 7 Series is indeed the ultimate driving machine.
You really have to ride them to feel them!!!!

ROCK ON!!!

August 29th, 2008

Cast: Farhan Akhtar, Prachi Desai, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Luke Kenny and Shahana Goswami

Director: Abhishek Kapoor

Kunal's Rating: ****1/2 (4.5)

It’s always been said that to attain something people sometime have to compromise for something. Sometimes these compromises make the journey to the desired future enjoyable and sometimes, people have nothing but to repent for whatever he had done in the name of compromise. The film, Rock On, rocks on that basic thought only.
They, namely Aditya (Farhan), Joe (Arjun), KD and Rob (Luke Kenny), fight hard to take their band ‘Magik’ to the position of number one. They get the opportunity to hit the music chart with an opportunity won in a competition of Channel V. The music channel also provides them with a chance of recording their first album. But no victory comes without its different effects. Here also, they have to compromise few things and the situation takes Joe away from Aditya. Magik gets closed. Aditya leaves all his friends and turns into a businessman while on the other hand, Joe keeps himself happy with his guitar.
Story rolls for ten years. One day Aditya’s wife (Prachi) comes to know about Aditya’s band Magik and to make Aditya happy, she arranges a reunion party for all his friends who were involved in the band. And the reunion gives a rebirth to the band also. They all fight for another chance at the Channel V stage.
Farhan has really overshadowed other actors in his debut film. Others are also looking cool in their respective roles. As far as the film is concerned, it can easily be called a package with visuals mixing properly with audio. Actors are rock stars and their stage presence is superb. While as a film it’s a great gift to the viewers, for listeners, too, it’s a wonderful presentation. After his negative performance in OSO, Arjun has brilliantly proved how matured an actor he is. With Prachi’s performance, it looks like she has a future in Bollywood. The combination of visuals with dialogue looks really nice on the screen. Direction is really praiseworthy.
After a long time, a film is made to touch all the generations. Hats off to Farhan and Abhishek Kapoor. The movie really rocks. A must watch for the youngsters.
